The origins of Cinema of Life began years ago when I started making home videos of my daughters. The family loved to watch the movies, and I loved making them for my family. Pretty soon I was making slideshows to commemorate retirements, making short films, and in 2007 I produced a 35 minute documentary that was shown at a banquet of 1200 people and was distributed to all attendees.
This led to the formation of our award-winning film/video production company, Two Sherpas LLC. “Two Sherpas?” you ask. Well, years of traveling with our two daughters and hauling around all their extraneous gear had my wife and I often joking that we were more like sherpas than parents. We told ourselves that if we ever started a company we’d name it “Two Sherpas” in memory of those years as personal porters for our daughters. So in 2009 we did just that. Our films have played in festivals across the country, on television, and have garnered multiple awards.
Cinema of Life is the documentary film service of Two Sherpas LLC. Cinema of Life is where we focus on documenting and preserving the life and achievements of every day people and creating a product that forever captures their history, their memories, and their legacy.
My wife and producer, Laurie Morgan, is a graduate of Pacific Lutheran University with a degree in Marketing and Public Relations. I’m a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy (Class of '90). I earned my MBA from Arizona State University and, prior to starting Two Sherpas, I was a pilot with combat experience in Iraq and Afghanistan. I continue to serve as an officer in the US Air Force Reserve.
We live in the foothills outside of Ogden, Utah, so in our free time we love to ski, hike, fly fish, road bike, mountain bike, and travel around the Intermountain West. We look forward to helping you transform your stories into a timeless tribute.
